Keep reading for information on how to increase website traffic through SEO, social media, and other methods. We hope that these tips help you achieve the success you desire with your blog!

Write a blog post that is relevant to your niche

It is important to write blog posts that are relevant to your niche and readers. If you don’t, then people will stop reading your blog. Why? Because it will be irrelevant to them. If your blog post is truly interesting and helpful, then they will continue reading even if the material only vaguely relates to what you are writing about.

Write informative blog posts that help solve problems

One of our top tips for how to get more readers on your blog is to write informative blog posts with helpful information that solves problems. The more helpful the content is, the more readers will return to your blog for more information as well as share your blog post with friends. This is great for traffic and SEO!

Write blog posts that are easy to read

When writing a blog post, try to keep it simple and easy to understand. If your blog post is very long and wordy, then it will be hard for your readers to read through all of the text. Instead, break up the words into smaller paragraphs that are easier to read. You can also use bullet points or an easy-to-read font to help visually simplify the content in your blog post.

Post pictures on your blog

Adding pictures to your blog post is another tip that will help you get more traffic. Some people enjoy reading through text-heavy posts, but others prefer looking at images. By including photos or other visual content, you are giving both types of readers what they want. So go ahead and add some pictures!

Write engaging content that is interesting and informative

It is important to write blog posts that are interesting and informative because this is what will keep people coming back for more. If you only post dry and boring information, then people will quickly lose interest. However, if you take the time to write engaging content that is both interesting and helpful, then you will keep your readers hooked!

Write blog posts that answer questions

Are you wondering how to increase readership of your blog? You can post articles that answer common questions. People who have questions about a topic will often look online for information. By providing the solution in a blog post, you are saving them time and showing them exactly what they need to know. This is a great way to build up an audience for your blog.

Select a keyword and optimize it

For example, if you are writing about affiliate marketing, then one smart tip is to select this as your keyword. However, not just any old article will do the trick! You have to be very specific with keywords that are relevant to your niche or industry. This way, when people are looking for information about your topic on Google, they will be more likely to see your blog post.

Write content that is easy to share

Another great tip for how to get more readers is to write articles that are easy to share among friends and family. How can you do this? Well, it’s simple! Just ask yourself:

What value will this article bring to my readers?

If your answer is “not much”, then you may want to reconsider publishing the blog post. However, if you think that your post will be interesting and helpful for your audience, then go ahead and write it! When writing an article, always keep your readers in mind and consider what value the content will bring to them. This is a great way to encourage sharing among friends and family!

When you want more traffic on your blog, then you have to provide quality information that truly helps people with their problems or questions. If you write informative blog posts about your topic, then people will want to come back for more.

Make sure your blog has a strong, creative title (that it’s not always clickbait)

In the world of headline writing, there are no rules. No specific formulas. No surefire ways of creating a title that gets read.

Well, not exactly…

We all know how important headlines are to the success of our blog posts. The problem is, it’s hard to write one that sounds natural and doesn’t sound like it was ripped straight off clickbait or something similar.

There’s no magic formula when it comes to crafting great headlines. But there are a few things we can do to make the process easier and increase our chances of writing something that’ll grab attention and get people clicking.

When I was working on this post, I spent 5 minutes searching for headlines about “headlines” in Google and came up with the example list above.

I didn’t do it to be evil, but I’m pretty sure you now have some idea of what people are doing on the Internet these days…

It’s important that you write better headlines for your blog posts. And not just “better” clickbait titles that work .

The difference? Clickbait titles are everywhere online. They’re fun to read and they can do a great job of driving traffic back to your blog. But people filter out the noise as soon as it gets annoying, which is why you need to avoid using those tactics (clickbait) for every post.

I’m not talking about crafting an attention-grabbing headline, like “This Is How You Can Squeeze Six Pack Abs Out Of Your Belly”..

The truth is if your blog isn’t authority-based (you have no reputation, no authority and no connections), your blog post title is going to have a very small chance of being clicked on

…even if it’s a clickbait title – one that people would normally be tempted to click on. That’s just the way the Internet works, so don’t waste your time trying to make it work the “wrong” way.

What’s next?

The headline you write for your blog post is going to determine if anyone is going to read it or not.

If you’ve spent time writing a great article with useful information, don’t blow it by writing a crappy headline that doesn’t tell people what the article is about or why they should click on it.

Be smart and be strategic. Write a title that’s going to spark interest and get people clicking.

If you’ve written a clickbait title, then you know that it’s all about grabbing attention with promises and pulling wording. But when you’re writing blog posts, the idea is to write titles that include words and phrases your audience uses or terms related to your topic.

It should be clear what your blog post is about, but it doesn’t need to overly include specific details.

Clickbait titles might sound like a great idea at first, because they work so well (in the beginning). But, if every single one of your blog posts has the same style of title, then you can expect your traffic to drop rather than increase over time.

The key is to understand that clickbait titles are just another form of blog post title that work well in certain situations.

Rather than using clickbait titles for every single blog post, you can use them sparingly – for posts that have nothing to do with your authority based content .

If you’ve already built up a strong following and a reputable blog, you’ll be able to get away with using clickbait titles without worrying about it affecting your overall blog traffic.

When I first started writing articles for other blogs, I had no clue what made a good headline. It took me a while before I realized there was more to writing headlines than just picking the most interesting topic and hoping it would get a few people to click.

I cringe when I read articles from my blog contributions from the early 2000’s or so, because all of the titles have clickbait titles that scream things like “You’ll Never Believe What Happened Next!”…

But there’s a reason why most top bloggers stick to certain types of headlines – they work better.

So if you’re looking to create great headlines that are going to get people reading what you have to write, then it’s time you start paying more attention to how they read your blog titles.

Now let’s look at some examples of good blog post titles for this post:

These are some examples of better blog post titles. But the truth is, there’s no silver bullet for writing blog posts that will get you more traffic…

There are 3 guidelines I recommend you follow when using clickbait titles:

  1. They’re not clickbait! So, you’ll see that each of these titles promise valuable information. They clearly lay out the gist of the content.
  2. They still give people an idea of what to expect without giving away too much. If your new blog visitors click the link and then leave right away, at least you know that they didn’t like what you had to say or if they stayed on your site it means that they found value.
  3. They don’t overdo it. That means no caps lock, no excessive punctuation, not including annoying words like shocking, unbelievable, or epic, and so on.

You might be wondering what the best strategy is if you want to start using clickbait titles for your blog posts?

I recommend that you find a balance between writing headlines that get people interested enough to read your blog post and do some research about how other bloggers write their titles.

Don’t just aim for clickbait titles – instead, go for something that has just enough excitement to make people curious about what you have to say.

As with anything in blogging, the key is to do your research and test out different types of headlines until you find one that works best for your blog posts.

Above all, don’t be afraid to try using clickbait titles (in moderation) and track the results to make sure it works for you.

Use relevant keywords in your post titles and tags

When you include keywords in your blog post titles, you’re doing a couple of things…

First, you’re making it easier for people to find your content when they’re searching for information on the web. Second, you’re telling Google (and other search engines) what your post is about, which can help with your SEO ranking.

Both of these are important, especially if you want to attract more readers to your blog.

When you include keywords in your post titles, make sure they are relevant to the topic of the post. That way, you’ll not only be helping people find your content, but you’ll also be making it easier for Google to rank your posts higher in the search results.

That means if you’re writing an article on how to get your first 1000 blog visitors, make sure you’ve included relevant keywords such as, “first”, “page”, and “view” in the title.

The same advice applies to the tags on your blog post – use relevant words that are related to the topic of your post.

Don’t just stuff your post title and tags with keywords – Use them in a way that makes sense. Otherwise, you’ll just annoy readers!

One good resource to check out your titles is:

When you write a blog article, it can be helpful to add links to other articles that are similar. That way, people can read more about the topic if they want to. You can also use keywords in your post titles and tags to make it easier for people to find your content.

When you link to other blog articles, you’re doing a couple of things…

First, you’re providing your readers with more information on the topic. Second (again), you’re telling Google (and other search engines) that your post is about that topic, which can help with your SEO ranking.

Both of these are important, especially if you want to attract more readers to your blog.

That means if you’re writing an article on how to get your first 1000 blog visitors, make sure you add links to other posts about blogging and using a blog for business.

Don’t just include any links in your post title and tags. Instead make sure the links provide truly valuable content, that compliments!

Include images and video, to make the post more visually appealing

Adding images and videos makes your blog post look more interesting. People are more likely to read something that looks good. Images and videos can also help explain things better.

When you include images and video in your blog posts, you’re not only making it more interesting for readers to read. You’re also providing them a better reader experience – Besides, adding video content can make your post much more fun!

That means if you’re writing an article on how to get your first 1000 blog visitors, include relevant images and videos. Don’t just stick to text!

Images and videos can go a long way in helping you improve both SEO ranking and reader engagement.

Create an attractive design for your blog to help it stand out from other blogs

Having an attractive and appealing blog design is important because it can help your blog stand out from the competition. When readers visit your blog, they will first notice the design. If it looks good, they are more likely to stay and read your content.

One Caveat: Always remember… You are not designing a blog in a way that you think looks good. Instead, you should be designing the blog in a way that appeals to your niche. Phrasing it another way… You’re not designing the blog for you, your designing it for your niche audience (what you thinks looks good, might not resonate so much with your readers).

An attractive and appealing blog design can also help improve your SEO ranking. When Google (and other search engines) crawl your website, they will take note of the design of your blog (how it performs in mobile and desktop environments). Again… If it’s attractive, appealing, and works fast, it will help with your ranking.

Your blog MUST be mobile friendly! First.

That means if you’re writing an article on how to get your first 1000 blog visitors, make sure you have an attractive and appealing blog design, that best presents your post – In a simple and clean manner (so it’s easier for readers to navigate through your blog). Don’t just stick with any old design – make sure it looks good!

Granted “beauty” is very subjective, but it’s important to follow some general guidelines:

  1. Keep the design clean and simple (don’t cram copy or images into every empty space). White space is good!
  2. Don’t add every feature, it creates too much confusion, and what’s worse will slow down the loading speed of your blog (which is a good reader repellent).
  3. Make your navigation, clean and simple (adding too may things to a blogs navigation can reduce its effectiveness).
  4. Make sure your graphic branding is consistent.

Your blog design should demonstrate the ease of use, an intuitive layout, and provide a stellar reader experience.

Share your posts on social media sites like Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.

When you share your blog post on social media, it’s good for you because it helps other people see your content too.

When I share my blog posts on social media, people that like reading them, click through, and then they become part of my readership.

It can help other people learn about things that will be interesting to them (I know because sometimes we accidentally find out about things we didn’t know about before).

That means (for example) if you’re writing an article on how to get your 1000 blog visitors, it’s important for you to share your posts on social media so people can see it too!

What’s more (and I argue it’s a critical “must have”), ensure your blog auto-posts your published articles to social media. I discuss this more, in my post “How to Promote Blog Content and Build Better Readership Traffic“, where I also include examples of some WordPress plugins that can do this for you.

Create an email list so you can notify subscribers about new posts

An email subscriber list is important for blog owners because it allows them to notify their subscribers about new posts. This is a great way to keep your subscribers updated on the latest content that you’ve published. It also helps to build better readership traffic.

When you notify your subscribers about new posts, they are more likely to visit your blog and read your content. This is a great way to increase traffic to your blog, and helps you build a stronger relationship with your readers.

It’s a subtle way of telling your readers you won’t waste their time – Posts they are interested in, they will click through and read (so they don’t waste time with posts that don’t interest them). This is a respectful approach.

That means if you’re writing an article on how to get your 1000 blog visitors (and any other post), make sure you create an email subscriber list so you can notify your subscribers about new posts – Especially those who are interested in increasing their blog audience! (In other words – It’s targeted).

Be consistent with posting new content regularly

Ideally at least once per week (at the least) so people know what to expect when they visit your site.

It’s also important to be consistent with posting new content regularly because it builds trust with your readers. People like to know they can visit your blog and read something new (especially if it is relevant to the topic you’re blogging about).

So make sure you schedule “time slots” for yourself – Every day or once per week, and stick to it!

Your readers will appreciate it and your readership will increase too!

Additionally, we all have our habits, there are certain blogs I like to visit, at a set time each day. A blog that regularly posts new content at those times works nicely. Most everyone, I think, has their own routine. Try to find the general consensus from your niche audience, and adapt your regular posting schedule to match the expectations of your niche readers.

Final thoughts…

So, there you have it – a good introduction to increasing your blog traffic. I hope you found this information helpful and are inspired to put these tactics into action.
